Regardless of which way you decide, you will either call out one letter at a time or have your students pick one letter at a time, and then they will find the letter on the bat and hole punch that letter. If you are doing letters, you can either call out the letters of the alphabet or provide students with a bag full of letter tiles and then they can do the activity independently. After you write the letters on the bats, you are ready to go! Make sure that you only write them along the edge so that your students can reach the letters with a hole punch. I printed off the bat template, cut it out, and then used that to trace several bats on the black cardstock and then cut out the bats.Īfterwards, I used a white marker and randomly wrote letters of the alphabet or numbers around the edge of the bat.
